Basic Surface Mount Soldering & Rework

In addition to the IPC registered classes, Soldering Solutions offers basic surface mount soldering and rework classes to meet our customer's specific needs, all of our classes are in accordance with IPC-A-610C and J-STD-001.

All of the Soldering Solutions classes are approximately 98% hands-on, and are taught by some of the best soldering instructors in the industry. This course is designed and taught to dramatically raise the skill set of the student by emphasizing correct soldering techniques, which virtually eliminate the need for expensive equipment.

Students are evaluated on their hands-on work, as opposed to an administrative test. This method has been proven to help the student retain the information he/she has learned, and insures that they can accomplish the soldering and rework tasks required for their job function.

Certification Overview

The basic surface mount soldering and rework course is comprehensive; encompassing all skills necessary to perform rework of electronic printed circuit boards without the need for expensive production equipment.

During the course the student will be introduced to:

Component identification, workmanship standards, and hands-on soldering/desoldering techniques utilizing state-of-the-art procedures which virtually eliminate costly production equipment.

This course is structured to be in accordance with IPC-A-610C, IPC-7711 and IPC-7721.
